To give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view.
「あー、ぎゅーっと主張する」と覚える。
例文
The lawyers will argue the case in court tomorrow.
弁護士たちは明日、法廷でその件について弁論するだろう。
「口論する」だけでなく、論理的に「主張する」の意味でも重要。
