/ˈɡæðər/TH /ð/ の音は、舌先を軽く上の歯に当てて出す有声音。カタカナの「ギャザー」とは少し違う。
集める、集まる；（情報などから）推測する
to bring together; to assemble; to infer or understand
「ガザーッ」と書類を集める(gather)イメージ。
例文
We need to gather more data before making a decision.
決定を下す前にもっと多くのデータを集める必要があります。
「集まる」だけでなく「（情報から）～だとわかる」という意味もTOEICで重要。

We will gather in the main conference room. → The meeting will take place in the main conference room.（'gather'（集まる）が'take place'（行われる）の根拠となる。）
