～を薄める、弱める
Make (a liquid) thinner or weaker by adding water or another solvent to it.
「大（ダイ）なルートで薄める」と、大きな川で何かを薄めるイメージ。
例文
You should dilute the juice with water before giving it to a child.
子供にあげる前に、そのジュースを水で薄めるべきです。
